Hire a Canadian — a service of 2592903 Ontario Ltd, at 270 Presqui'le Parkway, Brighton, Ontario K0K 1H0, Canada.
Using this site
You may browse and apply for jobs, and post jobs, provided you are legally able to enter a contract and you follow these terms.
You must be at least 16 to create an account. Accounts are for individuals, not shared team logins — one account per person, and do not share credentials.
For employers posting jobs
You are responsible for what your posting says. By publishing you confirm that:
- the posting describes a real role you are able to fill, or clearly states that it does not
- you have the authority to advertise on behalf of the company named
- the posting does not discriminate on a ground protected by the applicable human rights legislation
- the information you provide about compensation, AI screening and vacancy status is accurate
Our compliance check is a service, not a warranty. We evaluate your posting against our reading of Ontario's job posting requirements and show the result. It is not legal advice, it does not cover every province, and passing it is not a defence. You remain responsible for your own compliance.
We may remove a posting that is fraudulent, discriminatory, an advance-fee scheme, or not a genuine employment opportunity.
For job seekers
Information you put in your profile should be accurate. Applying with a fabricated identity or someone else's credentials is not permitted.
We do not guarantee that any employer will respond to you, and we are not party to your employment relationship with them.
Listings collected from public sources
Some listings are collected from companies' public careers pages, through interfaces published for that purpose. Those listings link to the original and are labelled. We are not the employer and cannot answer questions about them.
If you are a company and you would rather not appear here, email hello@hirea.ca and we will remove you. The same address works if a posting about your company is wrong or needs correcting — either way, we will act within 5 business days.
Content you provide
You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us the licence needed to host it, display it where the product calls for it, and back it up.
Do not upload anything unlawful, malicious, or that you do not have the right to share.
Automated access and copying
You may read this site with software, and search engines and assistants are welcome to crawl it. What you may not do is take the board itself:
- copying the listings in bulk, or a substantial part of them, whether by crawling, scraping, or reading our sitemaps and feeds
- republishing our collected listings as a competing board or dataset, or selling them
- automated access that ignores `robots.txt`, evades rate limits or challenges, or disguises itself as an ordinary visitor
- using our compliance readings, rankings or summaries as a dataset apart from the site
Individual postings are the employers' own and are public on their career pages. What is ours is the collection: which roles are open to people in Canada, kept current hourly, with what each posting states read out of it.
We log the network a request comes from, and some URLs in our sitemap exist only to detect bulk copying. If we find you doing it we may block you and require you to delete what you took.
Availability
The service is provided as-is. We run it on infrastructure we do not control and we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, to the extent the law permits that limitation.
Changes and termination
We may change these terms; material changes will be dated above. We may suspend an account that breaches them.
You can close your account at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
